Who can File a Complaint?

A financial consumer who uses or hasĀ used financial services or products provided by a Member:

  1. for personal, domestic or household purposes; or
  2. in connection with small business; or

An individual investor or sole proprietor having a dealing or transaction relating to capital market services or products involving a Member.

 

Time limit to Submit a Dispute

You must submit a formal complaint to the member concerned for their consideration.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may file a dispute with FMOS:

  1. Within 6 months from the date of final decision of the member; or
  2. After 60 days from the date of your initial complaint to the member if no response is received within the specified timeframe.
